Christ The Traveler Poem by louis rams

Christ The Traveler

CHRIST the traveler

He traveled the roads by feet so his fellow man he could meet
All that passed him on the roads that day he would convince to kneel and pray
From the moment he started preaching his followers began to grow
It was the beginning of Christianity as we all know.
His teachings were spreading from town to town by non-believers
That he had found.
Many had claimed to see heaven in the depths of his eyes
And angel wings by his side.
Caravans would come to a stop as crowds gathered around the mountain top.
They would come to hear the teacher preach so they could find spiritual relief.
The Rabbi s feared the things he did and said and wanted this preacher dead and
If he took away donations that people gave, their livelihood they could not save.
They could not feel the nails penetrating his skin but felt a guilt deep within.
Did they crucify the son of GOD because of the greed in their heart?
This is a question I give to you "were these rabbis forgiven too?
