Christ Versus So Called Christians: (Inspired By Liberation Theology)

Rating: 5.0

' You cannot serve both God and Mammon.' (Matthew 6: 24)

I'm not too keen on Christians, but I like Christ,
And his radical teachings. O I often think
That many ardent believers give religion
A bad name! Take those who regularly attend
And worship, at the exceedingly rich Vatican,
For example. Do they ever pause to question
How this modern Mammon, in anyway, shape or
Form can possibly represent the Love, Grace and
Mercy of the beautifully expressed Beatitudes?
Quite frankly, I wonder what Christ would think of it.

Thanks Shaun...as a Catholic myself...or perhaps a lapsed Catholic....I have a strong sense of religion. However, I feel that Christ's message often jars with the marked dogmatism of the church.
