Let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who was born on the Christmas day to a humble mother;

let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who promoted love and faith in hearts of many;

let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who encouraged compassion and forgiveness forever; .

Let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who healed and cured the sick as He lived;

let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who restored lives and curbed other's sufferings;

let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who always helped people in their moments of anguish.

Let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who preached parables to enrich the wisdom of many;

let us be thankful to Mary for Jesus
who walked up the Mount Calvary and died on the cross
though he was so innocent.

Let us be thankful to Mary
who as a mother delivered a child
who would be worshipped for generations;

let us be thankful to Mary
who as a mother wept silent tears
as she saw her son die on the cross
in front of her very own eyes;

let us be thankful to Mary
who as a mother sacrificed her son
to be the epitome of love and forgiveness;

let us be thankful to Mary
who as a mother gifted to our world a redeemer
whom the world will forever remember;

let us be thankful to Mary and Jesus
for this day and this occasion that makes every Christian
and every catholic to rejoice and celebrate Christmas
with lighted stars atop their houses and joy in their hearts,
year after year on the 25th of December since many centuries.
