Cicada Poem by Luo Zhihai

Cicada

Rating: 3.0

★ Cicada

☆ Poetry by Li Shangyin (About 812 or 813 -About 858, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

You dwell in the tree highly so that you are difficult to eat
In futile effort you wail and sorrow
At dawn you sound sparsely down to stop
The tree still ruthless and green
Low official position and rove
In my home town there are luxuriant weeds
Thank you for your true advice indeed
My family is poor also

☆ 李商隐 诗

本以高难饱
徒劳恨费声
五更疏欲断
一树碧无情
薄宦梗犹泛
故园芜已平
烦君最相警
我亦举家清
