Come To Me
Come to me when the river rises
And all hope is swept away;
When it crosses the threshold of your heart,
And darkness overtakes the day
Come to me when the night refuses
To let the day begin;
When you feel defeated and can't go on,
I'll gather you safely in
Come to me when your heart admits
How empty your life has been;
And loneliness appears at your door each night
Though you never invited it in
Come to me when the Lord of Love
Refuses to hear your prayer;
When sadness wraps itself around your heart
And holds you in its snare
Come to me before it's too late,
We're running out of time;
My life has always been bound to yours,
And our steps will always rhyme
And when you come to me, my love,
You'll delight in a brand new day...
The blaze of the rising sun, revealed,
