Companions Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Companions

Rating: 5.0

.

Traveling together into old age as soulmates
Supporting, encouraging, loving each other
Sharing, and going where we never thought to go
Climbing mountains high never surmounted alone
Rejoicing to see where eagles fly undaunted
Majestic in flight gilding upon the wing.
Crossing rivers, entering new mystical lands
Seeking for the way to God's eternal kingdom.
Walking through the valley of the shadow of death
Facing doubts and fears with love resolving them.
Moving ever forward taking each storm's blows
Embracing the promise we made to each other
Knowing the truth of love is the sweetest joy
With our companionship inspired with passion.
