Compass Points Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Compass Points

Rating: 4.5

Beauty lies frozen within death's embrace
Coffin held, four compass points of my life
Silent as stone, eyes forever closed
Leaving me alone without a soulmate.
Love seeded heart to wondrous flowering
Steadfast within stormy seas, strong, unyielding
Engaging truth that death will not deny
Reason and truth fulfilling passing days
Hope and promise for every dawn's birth.
Death took love from me, my brightest star.
Grief making my soul a darken kingdom
All joy and time so cruelly stopped
No stars, sun nor moon bright in my universe.
Lover my morning, noon and night
Beat of heart, overwhelming happiness.
