Confession Poem by Alex Medvedev

Confession

Rating: 2.5

I thought
I bottled the ego,
the demon came out.

I thought
I tamed the envy,
the ghost rebelled.

I thought
I conquered the malice,
the giant countered.

I thought
I killed the worms,
they were still swarming.

I went to the grand old mirror...

I thought
myself a king,
I was still a human being.

We all battle with these everyday; well described humanity in all of us, thanks. The love is in the trying and the accepting..

Beautifully written in it's simplicity. I love your structure. The greatest confession one can make in life perhaps is indeed to oneself. Thanks Alex!
