Confession Depression Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Confession Depression

With innocence and honesty swept past the looking point,
I shiver in solitude.
The words so fragile and dismantling,
conquer me a mute.
I lay myself to be taken and loved,
but still remain an other.
In flesh and mind,
I’ve given all, and taken none.
I am not alright,
I was never really real.
I drift and pass as the clouds in the sky,
disappearing through night and stars;
life is definite,
as death is infinite.
