Conserving Trumpeter Swans - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Conserving Trumpeter Swans - Lincoln Park Zoo

Rating: 5.0

Trumpeter swans need help, they do,
To build their numbers in the wild.
Help does come from Lincoln Park Zoo,
So nature might be reconciled.
The Zoo raises chicks newly hatched
Until they be healthy and strong,
And then when ready are dispatched
In the Midwest to sing their song,
And be able to live so that
Their population once more can
Thrive freely in wild habitat,
And fly the skies in wider span.

Let more trumpeter swans abound
To live with us in sight and sound.

More and more animals are becoming extinct, something needs to be done. Great write.
