Cosmopolitan Poem by Paula Glynn

Cosmopolitan

The world is an open, free, cosmopolitan place,
Many fashions are in fashion,
The vast array of languages is amazing,
As are the variety of looks,
Some are short, some are tall,
There're some who are round faced,
And some who have long faces,
There are white people, black people,
And every other race of people,
But deep down we are all the same,
We all matter in the eyes of the law,
We all deserve money, happiness and respect,
And if a person wears designer gear,
That is their progative,
Or if a person wants to wear hippy clothes,
Why shouldn't they?
And it doesn't matter whether they are woman, man,
Girl or boy, life is meant to be enjoyed,
For this earth is array with lifestyle choices,
Ways of life vary from person to person,
Country to country, and all are different,
All are great, and I know that deep down,
I know that love will always be around,
And will rotate across the world,
For in this world love really does come first,
And in these modern times, the ways of the old world are over,
No restrictions or prejudice matters or is allowed anymore,
Anyhow, those who still do are sore losers,
For most people want to wake up to a sunny morning,
And drink their orange juice as they plan their day,
And there're many things to do, many people to see,
For life was meant to be lived and enjoyed,
As people across the globe hold hands in unity and celebration,
For this is the life they share with you.
