Covid-19 Poem by Paula Glynn

Covid-19

Rating: 5.0

The nightmare epidemic hitting in 2020
So many lives savagely lost
The emotional impact at a heavy cost
Unknown how to deal and how to heal
Lives in thousands COVID-19 does steal.

People sick and in chronic pain
Like blood on hands that does stain
COVID-19 to cruelly prevail
The ship of death to set sail
Victims of COVID-19 having their heart fail.

Friends and family sick to their core
Symptoms of COVID-19 impossible to ignore
Sitting sadly alone behind closed doors
The virus spreading via breath and touch
The public wearing face masks without a blush.

COVID-19 here to stay and many to pay
A fact many do completely hate
Sickness spreading like a psychotic fate
Where for school children are late
But with vaccinations that should change an evil fate.

2) it is still arguable, which is more fatal, COVID- 19 or the vaccines? Nice poem

The pharmaceutical companies woke up suddenly to the opportunities thrown open by the epidemic. They could easily create a fear psychosis in men and many governments also saw the opportunity for corruption
