Crawling Throughout Every Hall Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Crawling Throughout Every Hall

Crawling throughout every hall,
Is a house infested with deceivers.
Backstabbing each other,
With unrelenting contempt.
Although pretending to represent,
The interests of the people.
Too appalled to discover,
Their quality of life...
Deliberately being smothered.
By greed and a self serving need,
That has turned this once bright house...
Into a place where treason.
And betrayal to display openly.
No longer shocks to surprise,
Those who tried...
To awaken the ones asleep.
Disbelieving these activities,
Were occurring not behind their backs.
But upfront in their faces.
Disgracing once sacred places.
Done with a doing purposely.
As if on a mission to implement disaster.
