Creating A Crisis Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Creating A Crisis

Creating a crisis.
To ultimately become divisive.
Had its start,
With credit to debit.
As a benefit to advantage,
Those to perceive...
Prosperity to obtain and quickly achieve,
Would be an opportunity for some.
To leave others teased.
Knowing to feel an inequality.
With the use of this same concept,
Spread over all fields of endeavor.
And putting in place,
Tension among the races.
Based upon economics.
That continues to escalate,
Into a deeper hole to dig.
By those who accuse to blame,
Others for their incompetent decisions made.
Developing an ease,
To promote bigotry, racism and division.
Leaving the ones feasting upon greed,
Thieves of a quality of life.
While sitting in positions to preserve the right,
To serve up conflict.
When and wherever they choose to stir up havoc!
