Creativity Poem by Sandra Feldman

Creativity

Talent, Creativity,
Cannot be learned,
It can be bettered,
But is always fettered,
To the artist's inner soul.

I think we are children of a grand Creator. That makes us little Creators. I couldn't imagine a life where I wasn't creating all the time. (hopefully getting more talented all the time) more fun: who creates who? do we create god in our minds and, or did he/she create us in their thought? thanks for stimulating thought!

FETTERED/TO THE ARTIST'S INNER SOUL - That's why the artist can keep producing her or his particular things of beauty even in Dark Times. The word FETTER is well chosen: it's a negative word changed into a positive situation by the artistic context. I was looking through a book of sculptures by Giocometti at the Library this week: his frail, emaciated, wraith-like figures might seem despairing but they're not because all the essential components of a human being are there, our essence has survived and can now fuel further recovery. And it will. Your poem is evidence.

Some things are either haves or nots, but yes, they can be improved.
