Diversity as is,
To have lived it and enjoyed.
Attracts greed feeding money leechers.
Seeking condos and chic restaurants.
Perceiving they will introduce,
An upscale version...
Of a diversity those elite,
Will increase their approval.
That meets their standards.
Out of reach by those,
Who have made diversity...
Their way of life.
And not a corporate industry.
For the ones who purposely,
Decide more pride would be taken...
If those dwelling in such,
Thriving urban communities...
Wished and solicited,
A customized destruction...
Performed to allow,
More pretentiousness...
To disrupt, corrode and corrupt,
With an inviting...
Of tea sippers.
Crumpet munchers.
And others making reservations,
Where a variety of vendors...
And tasteful offerings,
Displayed at an assortment of food trucks...
Are made to delay their services.
While honoring requests,
From 'guests' that haven't arrived yet.
To place linen napkins and reservation signs,
On benches aligning the streets.
And trees near the pond,
In a designated crowded local park.
Wanting their version of diversity,
More refined.
Elegant.
And with an etiquette exquisite.
Properly addressed and rumored to die for!

Many have and sadly it is by request. Lining up to be next. Categorized by prices to be gouged. With the sweet to be soured. And once again the elite will devour. Thanks for another inspiring poem
