Oh! darkness, shrivel, shrink
and vanish from the minds
when dawn arrives on its
golden chariot.
Keep the mortal beings pure
where one defeat or death
from the self professed Gods,
a reason to prove them wrong.
And in a moment of haste
in straight simple shrines
time not wait in a mantle
to silence the torments of a day.
Oh! dark nights, wither, die
or light lanterns to capture
the elusive divine spark.
Break open those glass doors
and in those closed connivance
life not offer its fuel for a breath.
Redeem the dark, cruel, harsh
angst from minds
and tame those fatuous clouds
on a gentle breeze and replenish
fragrance from the morning flowers.
Oh! the pale forlorn past
clear those debris from the sea shore,
recycle and feed those profane
waves to satiate their avid hunger.
Pierce through hearts and light
lamps luminous in thousands
when dawn arrives on its
golden chariot..
Rema this is truly great! It did remind me of the early sixties of my college days, when good old classical poetry was read and inhaled! 20/10! Raj Nandy
it is better to light a few lamps to spread light to clear the darkness 10
