Dark Night Poem by Sandra Feldman

Dark Night

What is this, that now I feel?
As the dark night, lingers thru,
Solitude has no appeal,
It prevents you being you.

All the love you have to give,
All the life you have to live,
Becomes empty, monotone,
Without sound, without a song.

Out of darkness comes the light,
Only love can have that might,
Otherwise it's emptiness,
As Life louses all its best

Occasionally, I will (arrogantly) say or think something along this line; 'Kelly, you are depriving the world of your (fill in the blank) by being a recluse.' Perhaps I am depriving myself of what the world out there could give me. I don't know for sure either way, but I am content. :)
