Darkened Night Of The Soul Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Darkened Night Of The Soul

Death wishes abound in serious times of despair.

Grasping threads, trying to hold on without losing
hope in life getting better.

Worsening moments, feverishly coming upon the heart,
beating out of control.

Taking the shortest ways to comfort are not open to
me - never drinking nor doing drugs.

I am stuck in reality with no way out, but to
experience whatever fills me with antagonizing
despair in this darkened night of the soul.
