Darkness - Poem by Marcia Gravett

I see darkness
No light
Someone is trying to reach me
I don’t know who
I hear voices
I can not see faces
I do not know the voices

Birds are singing
I cannot see them
I smell flowers
There are not any
Whose world am I in?

Yours?
Mine?
Or am I only a memory of sadness
Lost forever in your mind?

I think this is a very searching piece, you create confusion which I think is the aim and make the reader wonder. Impressive poem.
    Sincerely, Seán
