Daughters Of Eve Poem by Adams King

Daughters Of Eve

Rating: 4.5

O Daughters of Eve
Haven't you read the ancient script
Forbid the role your mother played
Be no victim of the slimy snake
Who come with enticing apples
Sweet to the tongue bitter to the soul
And makes you lose your home

O Daughters of Eve
Do not trade your precious paradise
For some bite of pleasant pleasures
I have seen men render apples
To steal a woman's homely heaven
And steal her priceless joy
With a temporal happiness they give

O Daughters of Eve
You have heard not all that glitters
Are worthy to be called gold
Be watchful of the fallen angels
That takes the body of men
Heart as black as stones in hell
But skin a fair as heaven's wings

O Daughters of Eve
The day is no more safe
And the nights are full of wrath
You have become a vessel
Where men seek to fetch wealth
And rip your God given life
For a chase of earthly vanities
