Dawn - Poem by Rajashri Saphia Singh

streamed through open windows...
hurt like strewn glass..
wonder whether we'll someday appear
satisfied with something in life...
slept in the bed tonight...
staring at the walls of the room enclosed in...
waiting for dawn to break..
till then reading for its signs...
harsh lines on my mind...
a blankness as my blanket..
waiting for dawn to break..
till then reading for its signs...
