Day In Day Out.......
Sun, nonchalantly, makes
plants grow, buds open
flowers bloom, fruits ripe,
zephyrs twirl, rain-bows glow
deer cubs toss, butterflies flap
and a host of happenings
one after the other in chain!
On the lap of mother earth
Poets sitting down submissively,
counting on, write down mounds of lines,
Making every event, like, their own,
adding bits of decors and sweeteners
Nature is always sweet to look at and enjoy, and even to pen down poems on.. Thank you for sharing Jayatissa. It's a lovely poem :)
