Value Of A Teardrop........ - Poem by Jayatissa Liyanage

What worth it is of
a diamond hill in Jupiter?
Who cares a jumbo golden pearl
fossilized in Satan’s dark abyss?
What earthly use of a rainbow
Bridging an oceanic chasm?
What value is of a tear,
human eye never let out and shed?

What a lovely poem, Sir, with a beautiful picture!
Who cares for a diamond or a pearl?
What value of a tear never shed?
An enigmatic question that needs to be answered!

Very interesting philosophical writing. The images go in and out of the human body, the earth, and the sky, ending with an unshed tear. Yes, what use is it? Let the tears fall. Nicely crafted poem. (Report) Reply

What value is of a tear
Human eye never let out and shed?

    Stunning, profound,

Truly, man should shed his tears,
For expressing his grief over inhumane acts.

Truly, man should shed his tears,
To show his love for the unfortunate.

Truly, man should shed his tears,
For his near and dear ones to express his care

Truly, man should shed his tears
    To be modest and humble.

    A lovely poem indeed,
    Loved reading and commenting

Very touching and heartfelt poem, Very true statement you have made in this poem. 'What value is of a tear, human eye never let out and shed? There is no value to a tear until it has been shed through loss. Love this poem! Thank you for sharing it, RoseAnn (Report) Reply
