Dearest Poem by Sandra Feldman

Dearest

Talk to me,
Lift the cloud of loneliness,
Above me,
That surrounds me,
Ice to heart,
Astound me,
With your presence,
Warm me,
Make me live again,
Before your long departure,
Hold me,
Like I was never held before,
So that you're presence lasts,
Whenever I am lonely,
I ask for nothing more.

Dearest,
No one can measure,
Or fully express,
The profundity of Love,
That is why,
Poetry must try.

A deeply affecting poem - strong, clear, compassionate, truthful. The first stanza resolves by its articulation all of the doubts and despair the other poems detail. You are engaged presently in a long journey with no end in sight. It may be a journey of discovery of new soul-truths or new lifestyle choices. Whatever it turns out to be, your poems are like the caranvan serai on such traveled routes. A place to refresh, to regroup, to tell the truth to an interested fellow traveler. This is a vital poem.
