Forest deep and Forest true,
Trees are miracles,
Not you,
They sustain the whole of Life,
Silent beauty, language free,
Giving life to all we see,
Best friends of humanity.

Lovely ode to trees, Sandra! I agree wholeheartedly. Imagine a planet without trees! Now that I think of it, I’ve written a few poems about trees. You may have read them - Walnut Tree, O the Chestnut Trees! , Silver Trees.
