Decadent Times Poem by Sandra Feldman

Decadent Times

Today,
Where did the heart go?
Where are the smiles,
The kindly 'whiles'
The musical comedy ties
We used to know?
Today,
Innocence dies
And there's no place to go.

Today,
All sex. false media,
Political perfidia,
Seem to dominate the scene,
Life has become a lying-bitter,
Lack of hopeful color green
Very short of the obscene.

Very well said, indeed! You so honestly paint the world as it is, Sandra. Perfidia? Wow, you've taught me a word, and what a colorful word it is.
