Deep In Backwoods - Poem by Manonton Dalan

dripping grass roof
before my very eyes
no umbrella not coat
i watch to subside
so i can pick beans
to sell for my lunch

there was old lady
who comes by everyday
buy everything i pick
she also brings me can
goods; petro from city
good business, i admit
