Deep scars
The scars have left me in deep
Anguish and pain may permanently keep
In distrust and confusion
I shall live some more questions
As a child
I was told to be mild
Kind and sympathetic
It was first lesson and basic
I could not sing happiness
And bring smile on the face
As many people used to comment on parent’s poverty
I was always praying sincerely to an almighty
“He is son of poor trader”
So we need to offer
Some kind of help to move forward
This mere gesture proved as sarcastically coated word
I used to cry at parent’s plight
They were always right
“Never be afraid of comments”
Keep yourself above and try to be reasonably present
I have kept them in my prayers
How their words were proving good as sooth Sayers?
I shall keep them in mind at each stage
I am growing fast with an age
