Denial Hiders Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Denial Hiders

Denial hiders stay away from,
Truth.
To see, hear or believe in it.

Denial hiders learn early in their youth,
There is to lie.
That makes them feel good too.
No matter who is victimized.
As they lie on others,
With a rehearsing to practice...
The most innocent of eyes.

Denial hiders are quick to run.
When it becomes known,
To what they did to others done.
With it then to seek some empathy.
Deceiving disbelievers,
That they could not be...
The doers of such rumored misdeeds.
Living lies to say,
What others did to do.
Living lies to tell to never be true.

Denial hiders feed on pity.
Hoping to receive it and to share.
Denial hiders can bring tears to their eyes.
And dry them the moment no one is there.

"Shake your tambourines!
Denial hiders,
WILL feed on a pity.
Hoping to receive it and share.
Shake them and scream,
DENIAL HIDERS WILL FEED ON A PITY.
Shake.
TO RECEIVE AND SHARE!
Shake them and scream.
DENIAL HIDERS,
FEED ON PITY.
Shake.
TO RECEIVE AND SHARE.
Shake them and scream.
GET AWAY DENIAL HIDERS.
Leave me alone.
GET AWAY DENIAL HIDERS.
Go away.
HIDING LIES TO DENY.
On your own.
