Depression Poem by Lee Boueri

Depression

Rating: 5.0

I'm coming for you

full moon or not

to feed off your being

and nourish the rot

The invader of minds

Crusader of time

assassin sublime.

Endorphins I take

emotions I break

lives at stake

I'm controlling your moods

depriving you foods

making you weak

unwilling to speak.

A drug induced peak

for less than a week

Then I'm back!

To make you crave sleep

Think too deep

Uncontrolled weep

till you lie in heap.

I'll attack!

I'll set up your moods for aggression

Remove any need for expression

Eat away your ambition each session

Switch your love of life to regression

You'll soon discover my name is

Depression.

Your poetry will surely cure your mental illness.

Haha, thank you Sankhajit, but I am concerned that you think I have a mental illness because I write about one :)
