I found a new place for you
A new place well past desire.
My tongue the welcome mat that leads
To the hallway of my heart.
A place your name, your toes to stop,
A place for all of you to fit comfortably.
In your bag all I ask is for you to pack
The things that make you comfortable &
Leave a spot for a couple new memories.
Next to round dressers of teeth,
Rolled around & found on the comforter
Of my tongue.
Tonight when it's time to go to sleep
I'll crawl under into bed & pull the covers
Back and I will not go to sleep
Until you lay down beside me.
Unseparated from this place desire,
To feel you next to me
Your name between my lips
& you in my arms
