Despite all I know, I still keep that frog in my throat
and sadly continue to suppress my soul
My thoughts are on overload
These feelings, I can not control
I try hard to turn a blind eye
And pretend to forget
What I heard that night
I try to replay it in my mind
Hoping to hear something different the second time
Maybe I heard something to which rymed?
But then, the thought of your reputation crosses my mind
With your kindergarten response
I'd be a fool to take it and run
Still I keep that frog in my throat
As I continue to gloat
Rapidly becoming numb
Thoughts are on overload with many feelings. This is an amazing poem brilliantly penned with wise imagery.10
