Dictators Persecute With Insane Policies Poem by Terence George Craddock

Dictators Persecute With Insane Policies

Rating: 5.0

leaving scorched earth policies
ruins captured deleted landscapes
depopulated transported to death
undesired citizens children cultures
targeted hated selected racial groups
dictators burn cursed invaded lands

truth is important
it gets you killed
truth is cloak hidden
to hide cruel realities
ignorance is not bliss
when it gets you killed

I've always wondered why, maybe with a few rare exceptions, the very worst, incompetent and cruel, get to govern? This is a very fine poem. That fully exposes the harm and damage driven by dictatorships, their injustice and intense, inhumanity. Well done! Thank you!
