Disaster
All the applause
Doesn't matter
It's what's in my head
That's such disaster
Richard Wlodarski (c) 2026
applause can do nothing or can't relieve the suffering of a great author
In Kerouac's case, it was a catch-22. On the one hand, he needed, and sought, the applause. On the other hand, he couldn't handle the fame. His suffering was very great!
I love this one, Richard, and it reminds me of and old joke: What happened to the lady who backed into the airplane propeller? Disaster!
Very happy that you love it, Kim! Thanks so very much! Kim, I love the humour and honesty in your poetry! This joke? Not that much. But thanks for sharing.
