Introduction: *A piece for Islam*...Ramadan begins, souls are lifted, debts are lowered and peace keeps flowing within...
In the nightly skies
A bright new sight,
The thin arc of moon has given off its smile!
Awaken our souls, as it has now arrived
The month of repentance,
Now it underlies, among the days in life
It came to reason, why
We've been so denied
O this blissful month, it is so profound!
To lighten down our deeds for wrong,
To spot the light towards the right
And toughen life along
Divine sure is He, to have sent this sacred respite,
Each and every night
Is filled in raving warmth
Superior than every other month
So glorious is He, the one and only
To have shown the truth within
Granting thousand chances
To spread the word of Deen
It fills the emptiness, smeared across the sky
Showers down blessings, that purify,
Every word from Qur'an,
Every time we recite
Strengthens our Imaan, and all the sins they say,
O they say goodbye!
Dear miss Sally, you are awfully mistaken...That is the beauty of this piece! Aqeb is trying to get through to us in the ancient form of poetry where words have a deeper meaning, and express in a different way. This is specially crystal clear for us Muslims because we just 'get it'...: D It's a 'Piece for Islam', a 'Piece for Muslims'...
