Do Me A Favor
Kindly do me a favor
while you're still ahead...
Spare me cliches of undying love
even after I'm dead.
Right now, I'm right here;
hardly dead at all.
More you talk, more I realize,
out of love, I might fall.
The diamonds you buy me,
I might never wear.
And if you're really interested;
the flowers, I would spare.
So do me a favor;
just love me here and now.
Don't think too much about it;
I will show you how.
Truly, Roshni, one of the best love poems I've read in recent times. Too many love poems deal with tired old ideas and cliches and your poem goes straight to the point.
A very true and pure desire of need of love irrespective of the upcomings. Indeed the humankind cant predict any of the happenings in the future so the present moment must be enjoyed even in cases of true love.....10/10
