Do You Want To Talk About It? Poem by Paula Glynn

Do You Want To Talk About It?

I know you're having a tough time of it of late,
But do you want to talk about it?
I know you're hurting,
But you're not alone,
I just confide in me and I will be your friend,
And you will never be alone,
For you have many friends to enjoy this earth with.

No matter how cold that stranger can be,
Know that I am not cold and your heart is warm,
Because I shall comfort you on the darkest nights,
Like a small bowl of soup that eases the chill,
And I will spoon feed your heart,
Until you are happy again.

So, if you want to talk about it,
I am here and you can share your fears,
I won't judge you or begrudge your happiness,
Because I am a true friend and this friendship,
Will never end, so know that I don't pretend,
And it's cold outside now, but I shall be here,
By the fire, waiting to make your heart glow.
