Dog Mother Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Dog Mother

Rating: 5.0

Now, the rain is gone
And the grass was still wet between my toes
As the cool feeling was joyous
After being in the hot house
With the excitement of the colour of green
The grass had come and made my heart sing
It was washing the fear of fire from it
But the blue skies in the afternoon disappointed me
I found I wanted to hide in the basement
And write sonnets of despair
And felt my dog wanted a walk
However, he wanted to sleep
After he needed to.....
He's old and need to sleep
I shouldn't worry but I do

Delightful write! Our pets can be demanding. They are adorable in all their ways but they can be difficult. Cute and lovely!

Are you worried since the dog must walk and instead he wanted to sleep, are you worried that he perhaps gonna die in his sleep?
