Don't Stop Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Don't Stop

Rating: 5.0

(Quiet chant or sticks-background-loud single clap on each Stop word-if you want to sing this)

Stop because of bad weather
Stop when confronted by
That big fella black snake
Stop when her heart
The one that stood by you
No longer calls you in
Stop when there is a danger
Ahead on your track
Stop in the night
When surrounded by
Those pack of dingoes
Or a Saurian smiling
Stop in front of a wild buffalo
Or a spear aimed at your leg
By that Quinkan spirit
Stop when in doubt in a bush fire
Or in a roaring cyclone
Blowin around ya head
Pull up on a muddy dangerous road
Stop at one beer too many
In that far off outback pub
Cease to run with the mob
When you get a littler too old to run.

But never stop when
Frightened by the journey
Don't flinch in the face of the
Challenge of being… because ‘Ol mate
That is when you are truely done
Listen now don't stop.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Once not so long ago I stopped and nearly lost the plot amongst other things…… I got up
mate and I run like Billeo back into the race. Down that dirt track....
True story.!

During bad weather you should stop and watch. During obstacle you should stop. When time permits in suitable or favorable weather you should proceed. An amazing sharing is done here...10
