Done Living This Way Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Done Living This Way

Rating: 5.0

Aren't you done living this way?
To save this heart from further dismay
Claiming what you are not
And not knowing your worth
From this very act when will you refrain?
From things that are eating up your brain
Having legs but walking with clutches
Looking old but living like apprentice
When good thoughts approach your senses
You do stuff without taking chances
Severally you've sworn travelling to the past
It seems you barely keep to a stand
When will you flee from that that entice the eyes?
When will you outgrow doing what is not really nice?
Reserving a heart to one who don't know you exist
Doing things different from what you preach
When out of control;
You hand your entire life to your foes.
