Don't Ever Change Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Don't Ever Change

Rating: 5.0

To get hurt by other's actions,
then get drawn into your shell.
To go over every word they said,
Is just a living hell.

Just another of life's obstacles,
don't let it spoil your day.
Just try to stand up straight and tall,
Then brush those words away.

Life's not meant for fretting,
over words that are aimed at you.
Keep that strength within yourself,
for it will get you through.

Stay that kind and gentle soul,
Don't ever change your ways.
For you were meant to be here,
to brighten someone's day.

Wonderful, wonderful poem! So true, never change! It doesn't matter what sort of things people say to you or about you, it really just matters if you can take such words, and keep going—not reflecting them onto others or making others sad as well.
