Doom Poem by Dislocated Heart

Doom

Rating: 5.0

The word of doom,
is the word 'Forever'
as soon as she spoke,
my heart felt lighter,
my hands gripped tighter,
for it could be soon..
it was over.

Lonely streets,
comfort me in the darkest night,
as the words she spoke..
act as spikes..
ripping through me every night.

Forever, she spoke,
as my hands were pried..
heart kicked into space,
seen.. with such pain..
those words spoken to another face.

Forever, we spoke of enchanting day.
a lifetime of loving,
in unforgettable ways.
With high, most ultimate respect,
I saw it all slip away.

In this lonely bed,
awake in my sad domain,
beneath the scars,
a black hole remains..
as I am suffocating,
with unwanted words
slain in my brain.

Spoke of Forever..
In doom, from the start,
I fought.. as she fell apart.
Now in pieces..
I dare not to touch,
it's my shards of glass..
my broken lust.
perhaps..
Forever.. was the sweet distraction..

Forever..
in my heart..
with each last broken shard..
Forever.. I say...

In my heart.. Forever.. shall remain.
as I watch... my love.. walk away.
