Dorothy, May You Rest With Ease, Please Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Dorothy, May You Rest With Ease, Please

Rating: 5.0

I am still perplexed
perplexed and surprised the most

that Dorothy went away
something in that spirit
following the path to our Father in full sway
I miss her the most now

is she already tired of her life here?
or does she want more entertainment

with the angels in their home firmament
with more fun and pleasurement

we will miss her
I will miss her immensely

I am more and more mistaken
that I will ever see her again

why so fast now?
I have to process it first, somehow
in this presentation here and now....

The picture is from the Announcement of her death
by Romeo Della Valle on Facebook.
in memory of the poetess
Dorothy C.A. Holmes

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dorothy A. Holmes, a true friend, almost like a mother,
from Poetfreak.com and Facebook,
a fervent poetess, died all of a sudden
the 21st March recently in her
hometown at Tappahannock, Virginia-USA.

leaving us all in deep sadness....

She loves poetry very much, who does not if
you´re writing poems constantly,
she sang also and led a poetry group called
"Poetry in Motion" and was also a water-color paintress.

She had still many things to do.
I had oft contact with her through email
as well as through messages.
If you write to her,
the same evening she sent you a response.
Her second name, she explained to me is Cynthia,
on Poetfreak she was known as The Poetess who can also sing,
she wrote that as an addition abbreviated after her own name
Dorothy A. Holmes: TPWALTS - The Poetess Who Also Loves To Sing-
now that "loves" becomes "loved" of course.

Please, read and mourn, since we are here
on Poemhunter as poets too,
just like she was and had always been,
then enjoy and I´ll remember her as she wished to be remembered,
she was a person with a warm heart and very sober.

Sylvia Frances Chan,
Dutch Poetess, Evangelist and World Traveler.

Tappanock, Virginia - USA.
Knew her on PF August 2011, after Poetry.Com was sold and closed
by Mr. Howard Ely from Owing Mills, near Baltimore in Maryland-USA
I had not heard that Mr. Ely Howard was gouing to sell the Poem Site. I think and in 2012 or was it in 2007? But the Poem site was sold to
LULU.COM in early 1999. Later appeared Mrs. Judy Lynn as Chief Editor of Who´s Who in Poetry International, sent me by email all my lost poems OR at least a few of my many lost poems. I was very glad to get back some poems (13 poems or so) . Mr. Howard got our poems and sold the Poem Site to LULU.Com which was very commercial. Then came Mrs. Judy Lynn from LA in California-USA. I was happy with her arrival,
at least she proposed to publish poems and I must write a new poem which had never been publishedelsewhere. Dorothy, she is a true North American citizen, had never such mean publisher(s) like Mr-Howard, I reckon, but never mind
IF I had not gone through all these awful experiences,
probably I won´t meet Dorothy on Poetfreak owned by Johannes.

Yes, it felt as if Dorothy was our Mother on Poetfreak.
That felt good and cozy. I know too good that she was always
talking cum laude and with pride about her old age and brilliant
health and good condition.
I have written all these about Dorothy and me,
so that the readers here on Poemhunter.com
will know a biot about how Dorothy and I were related as best poet-
friends. Thank you for reading,
with love,

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Dr Pintu Mahakul 27 March 2018

This is so sad to hear this news about Dorothy A. Holmes. May soul rest in peace. I am really missing her and her beautiful poems. Offering my prayer before God for her goodness and peace in heaven. She has tried a lot in her life and her perseverance is well adored by the world poetic community. We may not meet her again but still she is living in our memory. This poem brings emotion among readers. Yes, Dorothy was like Mother to all, as she is in hearts of many now...Rating 10

SEVEN and the LAST: how ironic that is my late father's Birthday and now they are both the late Dorothy and my late Daddy. Now her facebook account is still wearing her name and that new Profile photo. Thank you, Dr. Pintu Mahakul for your generous comment and in memoriam of Dorothy. May she truly R.I.P. and sit on the right Hand of our Lord, Amen.

SIX: A photo from 2015 which had the picture of a garden full of purple flowers. Indeed, purple was her favourite colour, but I am now not sure whether that was done by her daughter or by Dorothy herself, because after she died on the 21st of March,

FIVE: : (I hope) I am truly glad that I had done that and that she responded immediately. ONE day before she died, she still changed her TimeLine profile on FB. Or was it changed by her daughter, that I am not sure, because Doriothy would not changed with such a photo,

FOUR: that I will send new photograph of that flower again, which she wanted eagerly to make that an aquarel. After some few while she showed us on FB that she painted those flowers photograph from my own garden as an aquarel.

THREE: I call that self-infection because at that moment all of Dorothy's pictures on her FB account was hacked, even she had TWO ID profiles on her FB account. I do hope you still remember and after some time, that all were stabalized again and then I sent her a message

TWO: WHAT she did not know was the fact that she had saved my flowers photography to her Facebook account and that SHE was hacked and so that flowers picture of me that she uploaded to her account, was also hacked.

ONE: Thank you so much, dear Dr. Pintu Mahakul for your ardent response and frank comment. We both know her well. Remember that moment when she was hacked? She herself did not even know and warned us in FB not to touch my beautiful flowers photography, since that was hacked.
