Drawing A Blank Poem by Ray Hansell

Drawing A Blank

Rating: 5.0

Staring at a blank screen
Searching for the words
Trying to write a poem
That you have never heard

But it seems tonight
There are no thoughts in sight
I have to say I don't have anything
That I can think of to write

So I'll turn off my computer
Put myself to bed
No use sitting here all night
When there's nothing to be said

You did write a nice poem - and many of us who write can relate to it. 10++++

Muses are elusive. That’s why it’s so important that we use them when they do come to us. When they don’t, efforts to force it can often end up lackluster
