from 'Dreams and Visions'
In my dream
I make the turn
before remembering
we have to go
around the fence—
the perimeter—
to reach
the lot and building.
I tell the one
beside me
as we enter
this a place
I used to work.
The street
wrong turn
the building—
I've seen it all
in dreams before.
I wake—
the remnants
of the dream
still with me—
and search my past
for analogs
like these
but nothing
I can find
resembles them.
So why
from where
the paths
the places
actions
feelings
so familiar
but only
in that life I live
in sleep?
Dream sweet dreams sometimes resembles very familiar making us confused. ++10
hi, rini! thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. do you have dreams like these? - the territory is familiar in your dreams, but you can't relate them to your waking life. all the best to you. -gk

So you dream familiar dreams about places that are familiar only from past dreams? That's interesting. I think I know that sensation. I wasn't sure if I was just telling myself that it was familiar, or if I really had dreamed that before... The mind is such a mystery. Nice poem, Glen.
thanks, laurie. i know a lot of dreams are related to stuff in real life, and so i try to find analogs. but what they might be in dreams like this one elude me. -glen
