In the darkness of the night,
I see you in my dreams,
To hold each moment tight,
It's the only place it seems,
To see you once again,
Beneath the lilac tree,
I love that moment when,
You smile and walk to me.
For there you are once more,
The person that i loved,
The lilac in the breeze,
The gentle sound of doves.
If only we could stay,
In dreams forevermore,
I'm longing for the day,
When we meet at heavens door.
