Dreams - Poem by Peter Manton
Many a choice we may face in life.
Although which way, I cannot say.
May you never give in, just live your dreams.
Go for it, no matter how obscure it seems.
My self enraged anger has only lead to torment,
While my love is only to be left dormant.
May you not dismay these chances in life.
For this I have no more to say.
Though I stand here with a tear to my eye,
Only dreaming, as I was living a lie.
I peer out, only to see him by your side,
As I stand here and watch your image subside.
Maybe one day, my dream will come true,
Maybe one day, I can share it with you.
