Dreams
Dreams are flowers in the heart
That blossom against all the odds
They keep us going on
When the roads are dressed in snow
Give warmth to the shaking hopes
A fire lit inside the soul
Dreams sparkle in dewy eyes
Alive in the curve of mouth
They know their path from hunch
Never led astray by sight of soul
And in the darkness of a haunted heart
Dreams are a lighted lantern.
