Early Autumn([wǔ Lǜ]) Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Early Autumn([wǔ Lǜ])

Rating: 5.0

五律 秋趣

中秋白露过,屋前草还青。
偶有花争艳,时闻蜂绕亭。
湖鱼逐浪沫,水鸟觅蜻蜓。
轻履黄昏后,谁携看月星?

The autumn dew is not yet falling,
Behind the house the grass remains green.
What rare delight to see flow'rs blooming,
And near the booth to hear bees humming.
In the lake fish file a-chasing foams,
In the sky birds seek the dragonflies.
At dusk I'd go in flats to the open
To watch the moon and stars in a garden.

It is a beautiful poem on Autumn having haunting expression and nice collocation. Though it is the translation of Chinese poem yet it is so attractive to read. Nice work.10
